What is a Virtual Private Server (VPS)?
VPS also known as VDS - Virtual Dedicated Server behaves
exactly like an isolated stand-alone server (Dedicated
Environment) or in other words is a mix between a dedicated
server and a shared hosting account. Where it have its own
processors (cpu) , port numbers, RAM, and flows under one
single server. VPS is affordable, private, and secure, and
also carries additional advantages because of the technology
it is on.
Does it have root capabilities?
Yes all Virtual Private Server will have root and
SSH access. The VPS is a dedicated product, meaning
it is unlike a reseller account. You have root access to
your server, you have full administrative access (and responsibilities)
to the control panel, and all the advantages those two capabilities
bring.
What is Virtuozzo?
Virtuozzo was developed by SWsoft
to bring mainframe-like partitioning to enterprise servers.
Virtuozzo is the most advanced VE (Virtual Environment)
technology on the market today and is the ultimate technology
for Virtual Dedicated Servers. It can safely run RedHat,
Debian, SuSe and FreeBSD on the same physical host at the
same time!
Is it possible to create reseller accounts in VPS?
Yes. You can create reseller accounts as you have root-access
to it.
How long to setup my VPS once i have made the payment?
Within 24-72 hours. You will receive a confirmation
e-mail from someone in technical support when your account
has been activated.
Can I install my own software on a VPS such as Zend,
Ioncube, BFD, Rootkit etc?
Yes you can but please not we only cover some basic
software installations.Typically, basic Linux knowledge
and a willingness to learn is all that is required in order
to install most software on your own. Our staff will be
happy to help you install whatever software you need, but
realize we DO NOT support all 3rd party software
that exists.
Can we set up our own nameserver?
Of course, you are still responsible for what you do with
your server, as well as how you ultimately configure it.
We are, however, always there to help. Our Managed Services
Team is top-notch, though, and we can certainly point you
in the right direction but we encourage you to learn the
basics of server administration.
How many IP's i receive for my VPS and can i order more
IP's?
For starters, VPS01, you will receive 2IP's and additional
charge of RM25.00 per
4 block IP, per month.
Does your VPS comes with Fantastico or RVskin?
As VPS client, we will provide you FREE Fantastico
Deluxe. At the moment we do not offer RVSkin.
Can I run IRC services, like an IRC server, IRCbot etc
on my VPS?
No! IRC services is prohibited on our network (Network
Provider).
Do you perform transfer from our servers and resellers
accounts to the VPS?
For liability purposes, we are unable to log
in to your box on somebody else's network to transfer your
files, but we can certainly work with you to try to make
the process as easy as possible for you. If you are using
cPanel/WHM at your old location and choose to do the same
here, you will be able to move your files on your own, quickly
and easily. Doing a WHM to WHM transfer is quite simple,
and shouldn't give you any trouble.
WHM actually has a "Transfers" feature that is
designed to transfer sites from one cPanel machine to another.

for some basic reading material, and to get an idea of how
it works. Of course, if you run into any problems we will
be happy to assist you. This is true no matter what method
you wish to use to transfer your files.
Is the VPS Fully Managed?
Yes. What Managed Services means at is that we accept complete
responsibility for everything installed and delivered with
your server. We patch and upgrade the OS, as well as primary
applications such as Apache, PHP, and MySQL when necessary.
When cPanel software fails, do you fix it or do we have
to fix it ourselves?
You can request for us to fix it with no extra cost.
When something breaks, we login and fix it.
Can we pay you extra to manage our vps?
In general, if you need our help, we will do what we can.
If you need something done on the control panel, we'll be
happy to help, and if you need us to place entries in your
nameserver, we can do that as well. Of course, there
are limits to what we are able to do, but we are sure
you don't expect or want us to run your entire business.
Is a Virtual Private Server really more secure than a
shared server?
Yes, Virtual Private Server is more secure than a shared
server due to how the file system is setup. Even though
you are sharing CPU, memory, and network connectivity you
do not share the same file system. This means if someone
else’s virtual server gets broken into there is no
way they can go from that virtual file system onto your
virtual file system.
How many web sites can I put on a VPS?
Unlimited! It will depend upon your disc space you buy.
What are the benefits using VPS other than a reseller
account?
Having your own control panel, root access, low cost
product, full server management where you have freedom of
your choice for installation - reinstall as we let you choose
your solutions and gives you more of everything.
