How long does it take to modify an existing domain?
Depending on the registrar used to register your domain name
originally, the time to modify an existing domain name can
vary. When a domain modification is accepted, something called
domain propagation needs to take place.
Before a transfer takes place, the "Internet"
knows where your domain name is, and remembers it. This
is referred to as caching. When your domain name is modified,
the "Internet" will still remember your domain
name, and direct traffic to where it was previously hosted.
The cache will eventually expire, and the "Internet"
will start finding your domain name in the correct location.
This process can take anywhere from 5 minutes to 7 days,
but in most cases, it takes 24-48 hours. This time
will also be different for each ISP, so someone connecting
through a different ISP than you may be able to see your
domain name before you can, or vice versa.

us if you have any additional questions.
